Lewis County Blueway Signage Plan

Farmer | Morgan worked with the Lewis County Blueway Task Force to identify and map tourism assets within the county by character and location. This asset map was then used to create a county-wide tourism wayfinding directional signage plan that centers around the Buffalo River Recreational Area and Blueway assets. The signage plan was developed to reflect existing transportation patterns within the county and capitalize on other efforts for tourism development within Lewis County. Three signage types were then designed in accordance with TDOT and Lewis County Highway Department’s local road requirements to direct visitors to important points along the blueway, including a logo to represent the county’s desired tagline of “Chart Your Journey.” The county is now working on developing construction plans to implement the signage plan and install the signs in their selected locations.
