Bledsoe County Detention Center Sanitary Sewer Improvements

Bledsoe County accepted bids for sanitary sewer improvements at the Bledsoe County Detention Center. The work under this contract required the installation of a temporary sewer service relocation (bypass) to allow for the construction of a manual bar screen structure. This structure was made with reinforced concrete base and walls and used 7 CY of concrete, inlet and outlet sewer piping, 3 aluminum bar screens, some grating, and a permanent 8” overflow bypass. The site work included excavation, backfilling, site grading, and installation of a security fence around the facility for controlled access. Also included was approximately 50 LF of silt fence and permanent seeding of all disturbed areas to meet erosion control requirements.
